Warren Averett hosted an open house to celebrate the opening of their new location in downtown Montgomery on Tallapoosa Street. The event allowed guests to explore the new office, enjoy refreshments and network with the Warren Averett team and other business professionals.

exploreMedia celebrated the launch of their January issue of CentrAL INC! at exploreMedia’s office. The January publication kicked off the magazine’s second year and recognized the 2023 editorial board for their support.

Ahead of the 2024 Legislative session, local business and government leaders attended the Alabama Legistative Update with Alabama’s Speaker of the House, the Honorable Nathaniel Ledbetter. Speaker Ledbetter covered major legislative proposals that will be considered, including any that may impact business. This event featured a bird’s eye view to inform and provide the opportunity to hear directly from legislative leadership about plans, priorities and predictions for this year’s legislative session.

The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and members welcomed guests to gain a little knowledge while building connections at the Chamber Champion Luncheon sponsored by BWS Technologies. The Chamber’s Monthly Luncheons are a great opportunity to connect with other business leaders in the area and each month is educational and completely different.

The Chamber’s largest and most anticipated business event of the year, the Annual Meeting, celebrated the Chamber’s rich 151-year history, the economic development milestones of the year, and the installation of the new Chairman at the Renaissance Montgomery.

The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their MACC 2023 Giving Luncheon honoring the Azalea Training Center for their wonderful work with adult individuals with special needs.

The Montgomery Chamber hosted a briefing on China, great power competition and the national security environment from Maj. Gen. Parker Wright, Commander of the LeMay Center and Deputy Commander of Air University and Dr. Brendan Mulvaney, Director of the China Aerospace Studies Institute at National Defense University, as part of our Washington Brief series.

The Montgomery Regional Airport sponsored the Montgomery Chamber’s December 60-Minute Coffee. These events provide the best way to begin your workday—with an hour of coffee and networking.

Dr. James Locke, Department Chair at Auburn University of Montgomery presented on the impact of artificial intelligence on businesses. Dr. Locke shared his wealth of expertise in the trends and impacts that AI is having on businesses globally, nationally and locally. The audience learned ways businesses can prepare and/or adjust to leverage the great capabilities and efficiencies seen by using AI but also ways to protect themselves.

The Chamber invited business and community leaders to join regional and state elected cabinet-level officials for conversation and coffee. Attendees were able to meet, engage and connect with city and county leaders, legislators, state officials, congressional staff, education leaders and other key players.
