Degree: Master of Science in Management Information Systems
What It Is
The MIS master’s degree program at AUM is designed to help graduates command a competitive salary for working on next-gen solutions in cyber security, computer programming, networking, database management, multimedia design or technology architecture. Students may choose to specialize in either Management Information Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or Business and Data Analytics (which is a fully online concentration).
Why It\’s Cool
Students in this program will be able to perform advanced research in AUM’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Laboratory, which has the most powerful computing capabilities in the state.
What It\’s Worth
“We want our graduates to be leaders in technology,” said Dr. Donald Amoroso, AUM Distinguished Teaching Professor in the College of Business. “We want them to be chief technology officers and chief information officers.” The MIS master’s also provides opportunities for students to intern and get credit. “Sometimes, those organizations will just offer them a job right there before they even graduate,” he said.
