Montgomery, AL, April 3, 2024 – The Alabama Women’s Commission proudly announces the Rise and Thrive: Celebrating Resilience Women’s Impact Luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Liz Huntley. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Gold Room, Troy University Montgomery Campus.
Attendees are invited to check-in and register starting at 9:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25, covering access to a lunch buffet and a compelling panel discussion featuring Elizabeth Filmore, Chief of Staff for the State of Alabama Office of the Governor; Helena Duncan, President and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama; and Mary Helmer Wirth, CMSM, President and State Coordinator of Main Street Alabama.
The highlight of the event will be the keynote address by Liz Huntley, a renowned child advocate and litigation attorney at Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC, based in Birmingham, Alabama. Huntley is also the author of the inspiring book, “More Than A Bird,” and a motivational speaker celebrated for her remarkable journey of resilience. Attendees will gain insights from her story of overcoming adversity to become a successful lawyer, author, and champion for children.
