Auburn University at Montgomery hosted its 2nd Annual Cultural Festival on Saturday, April 6. The event showcased music, dance and flavors from the many cultures represented within its campus community.
The event was held on the university’s Quad and in its Athletics Complex and was free and open to the public.
Performers included the Navy Band Southeast, Yunmeng Dance Ensemble, AUMcapella and other student- and faculty- and staff-led acts.
Restaurants provided dishes for a free 6 p.m. food tasting including Asian Bistro & Seafood, D’Road Café, India Palace, Island Delight at Dexter, Jerusalem Restaurant, KIMCOOK Korean Fusion Restaurant, MatkaBar Indian Restaurant, Saffron Indian Kitchen and Sol.
The festival also included a Parade of Nations in which AUM students and employees celebrated their countries of origin. Nearly 40 nationalities are represented among AUM’s students and employees.
