Mayor Jerry Willis, the Wetumpka City Council, and the City of Wetumpka Economic Development Department are proud to announce the closing and sale of the first parcel at River Town Center and the execution of an Economic Development Agreement with Tractor Supply Company, the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer.
This exciting milestone marks the first development within River Town Center, a signature commercial project designed to attract new businesses, create jobs, and expand local retail options. Tractor Supply will construct a new store on the site, offering a wide selection of products for home improvement, agriculture, pet care, livestock, and outdoor living.
The development has been made possible through the visionary leadership of Mayor Willis and the Wetumpka City Council, whose forward-thinking approach and commitment to community-focused growth have laid the groundwork for this multi-parcel commercial district. Strategically located along HWY 14 on Coosa River Parkway, River Town Center is positioned to become a dynamic hub for future retail and service-based businesses in Wetumpka.
“River Town Center represents our shared vision for Wetumpka’s future,” said Mayor Jerry Willis.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tractor Supply as the first anchor in this development and look forward to continued progress in the months ahead.”
The City is currently in negotiations for five additional parcels, with more development announcements expected throughout the summer.
Construction of the Tractor Supply store is slated to begin later this summer, with an opening targeted for winter 2025.
