The Council on Substance Abuse (COSA) is proud to announce the official opening of its brand-new TEEN Center, a vital initiative designed to address pressing challenges faced by youth in Montgomery, including substance misuse, truancy, juvenile violence, teen pregnancy, low academic performance, and family instability.
The TEEN Center, located at 5946 Monticello Drive, offers a safe, welcoming space where teenagers and their families can come together to learn, grow, and thrive. All programs and activities are completely free and focus on promoting positive development, enhancing life skills, and strengthening family engagement.
Teens and families can participate in a wide variety of offerings, such as:
- Tutoring and academic mentoring
- Cooking, music, art, and exercise classes
- Teen-led book clubs and podcasts
- Family nights, parent education workshops, and support groups
As part of COSA’s mission, the center will also provide critical services such as alcohol and drug treatment, recovery support for youth, and mental health and suicide prevention training.
The TEEN Center represents COSA’s ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation and building healthier, more resilient communities.
