MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Faulkner University and Alfa Insurance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand educational opportunities for employees, agents and their families.
The agreement, signed April 21, 2026, formalizes and strengthens an existing partnership between Faulkner University and Alfa. The partnership provides Alfa and Alabama Farmers Federation employees, as well as their adult children and stepchildren, a 50 percent tuition discount on eligible programs. In addition, children and stepchildren of employees are guaranteed a minimum $10,000 scholarship toward a traditional, on-campus undergraduate degree at Faulkner’s Montgomery campus.
The agreement also extends benefits to independent agents affiliated with Alfa and members of their staff, as well as its affiliated companies.
“It’s a blessing to be able to partner with Alfa for education discounts and benefits for their employees and for their friends and family,” said Faulkner University President Mitch Henry. “It’s a blessing to partner with corporations and community organizations, and Alfa is certainly one of the most important partners we have in the state of Alabama.”
Alfa President and CEO Jimmy Parnell said the partnership reflects shared values between the two organizations.
“It’s a pleasure to do business with Faulkner University,” Parnell said. “As an organization, we operate on the Core 4 Values of Faith, Family, Community and Integrity. Our employees who attend Faulkner appreciate the Christian environment, and we certainly value the partnership we have here.”
In addition to educational benefits, Faulkner University will make its campuses and facilities available to Alfa for meetings, continuing education and community outreach. Both organizations plan to explore additional opportunities for collaboration where they share common goals and mission.
