First Choice opens pregnancy resource center in Elmore County

WETUMPKA, ALA. – First Choice Women’s Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new location in Elmore County.

The new center, First Choice – Elmore County, is the non-profit organization’s third location and found at the previous site of Elmore County Pregnancy Center in downtown Wetumpka. After months of planning, the two organizations successfully joined forces with the goal of better serving the women and men of the broader River Region.

“Our organizations are a great fit as we are like-minded in vision, mission, and the services we provide,” explained First Choice Executive Director Bethany Garth. “We are excited to become part of the Elmore County community and the incredible resources for individuals and families already established here.”

Services currently offered at the center include free pregnancy testing, pregnancy options education, and individual parenting classes that assist in providing material support, including needed baby items for expectant and young families. Plans are in motion for medical services, such as confirmation ultrasounds, to be added in the first part of the year.

First Choice – Elmore County is located at 104 Company Street in Downtown Wetumpka. Operational hours are 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Walk-ins are welcome.

The mission of First Choice Women’s Medical Center is to provide medical, parenting, and life-skill services to extend help, offer hope and promote healing. The organization’s primary location, First Choice – East, is located off Mendel Parkway East behind Budget Care Sales. First Choice – South is located off Normandie Drive next to Baptist South Hospital.
