Montgomery, AL – In honor of Black Music Appreciation Month, Red Bluff Bar at the Silos, a historic riverfront bar, restaurant, and music venue, is proud to welcome GRAMMY Award-winning artist Pynk Beard for a special live performance on Friday, June 13th at 8 PM.
Pynk Beard, whose standout songwriting on Alicia Keys’ musical Hell’s Kitchen earned him a GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will bring his signature blend of R&B, funk, and poetic storytelling to Montgomery’s Riverfront. Known for his soulful sound and genre-defying artistry, Beard has quickly become a voice of the new generation.
In recent years, Pynk Beard has transitioned into country music, offering a fresh perspective on Southern identity and culture.“I believe the human experience, especially the Southern experience, is amazing, and it should be documented by anyone who lives here. … Not all of us drive tractors or ride horses, or have rims or Cadillacs,” Beard said. “It’s not just about rivers and creeks; it’s about avenues and boulevards. … All of that is country. It’s not a sound, it’s a culture — and cultures are multidimensional.”
“June is Black Music Appreciation Month, and we’re honored to host an artist who is not only shaping the future of music but also carrying forward the rich legacy of Black musical excellence,” said Henry Williams, Director of Entertainment for Vintage Hospitality Group, which owns and operates Red Bluff Bar at the Silos, located in the Riverfront Park. “This is more than a performance, it’s a celebration of history, culture, and creativity.”
The evening will include opening sets from local artists in tribute to the influence of Black music across generations. Admission is free, and early arrival is encouraged.
