MILLBROOK, AL – December 8, 2025 – The Millbrook Community Players, Inc. (MCP) is delighted to announce the opening of its heartwarming and hilarious holiday production, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Directed by the talented Bre Gentry, this perennial family favorite promises to deliver laughter, reflection, and the true spirit of Christmas to audiences this season.
Based on the beloved book by Barbara Robinson, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the story of the Herdman kids—the worst children in the history of the world—who suddenly show up at Sunday school and muscle their way into the lead roles of the annual Christmas pageant. Chaos, confusion, and a little bit of mayhem ensue as the town wonders if the pageant can possibly be saved. Yet, in their completely unconventional interpretation of the Nativity story, the Herdmans force everyone to see the familiar story of Christmas with fresh, new eyes.
