Montessori School at Hampstead receives $19,529 from Hampstead Institute following Taste & Tour event

The Montessori School at Hampstead recently received $19,529.04 from the Hampstead Institute, a local nonprofit dedicated to building community through design, education and wellness, to support the school’s hands-on curriculum and educational initiatives. Proceeds were generated from the annual Hampstead Taste & Tour, an event featuring tours of private homes throughout Hampstead.

The donation reinforces a long-term partnership that allows students to use Hampstead Farm and the surrounding community as a living classroom. Since its founding in 2008, the Hampstead Institute has focused on promoting community building, with the Montessori School at Hampstead serving as a primary beneficiary of its local educational efforts.

In addition to its work with the school, Hampstead Institute supports several regional organizations, including the Montgomery Area Food Bank, Family Sunshine Center and the Montgomery Humane Society.
