MONTGOMERY, AL – As a Great American Defense Community, Montgomery takes great pride in honoring the men and women of our Armed Forces. Military Appreciation Day at the Montgomery Zoo is a collaborative partnership between the City of Montgomery, Montgomery County, the Montgomery Zoo, the Wright Flyers, and the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. Together, we are proud to dedicate this special day to recognizing the selfless service and enduring sacrifices of our military personnel and their families.
As a heartfelt expression of gratitude, all active-duty and retired military members and their dependent family members will receive free admission to the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum throughout the day. Military ID is required for entry.

- Date: Thursday, June 12, 2025
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (final entry at 4:00 p.m.)
- Complimentary lunch and refreshments: 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (in the Zoo’s Main Events area)
Participants will enjoy:
- Full access to the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum
- Complimentary train ride
- Admission to Waters of the World and the Reptile Facility
- Keeper Talks at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
