MONTGOMERY, AL – Alabama’s coffee scene has gained international recognition as several local coffee shops have been named among The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops. Prevail Union, with locations in Montgomery and Birmingham, secured the highest ranking among Alabama shops in the U.S. at No. 2 and among the world at No.17. Joining the prestigious list are Birmingham-based Domestique Coffee and Seeds Coffee Company, ranking No. 47 and No. 66, respectively. Turbo Coffee, which operates in Florence and Tuscaloosa, claimed the No. 72 spot.
Prevail Union took to social media to celebrate the honor, stating, “We are at a loss for words. This is pretty amazing, y’all. We couldn’t have done it without you or our AMAZING baristas who truly embody unreasonable hospitality.”
The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops organization is dedicated to identifying the finest coffee destinations worldwide. Utilizing a combination of public voting and expert evaluation, the rankings are determined based on key factors such as coffee quality, barista expertise, innovation, and overall ambiance.
