RREPS began receiving nominations in October 2022 for this year\’s finalists. Earlier this year, the program worked in collaboration with Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) to interview and conduct research on all nominees. AUM business and public administration graduate students researched the ethics policies and practices of each nominee. An independent selection committee made up of community leaders then reviewed the academic reports and designated the finalists for each category, then chose the recipients.
\”Each year we have the difficult task of choosing just one award recipient in each category.\” said Cary Kuhlmann, Executive Director at the Samaritan Counseling Center. “Our area is fortunate to have the types of high-quality organizations nominated this year. They represent the very highest standards for ethics in business in the River Region. We are honored to spotlight and share the impact of their contributions in our communities. Just being nominated by a customer or a colleague is an honor.\”
