The Heart of Alabama Food Bank launches Hope in Motion Tour

Montgomery, AL — The Heart of Alabama Food Bank (HAFB) is opening its doors to the community through a new initiative designed to connect, educate, and inspire. Beginning October 13, HAFB invites community members, business leaders, and partners to join one of its “Tours for Hope” experiences — unique behind-the-scenes opportunities to see how the Food Bank serves families across the region.

Guests can choose from three engaging formats led by Jamie Brown, Director of Corporate and Community Partnerships:

  • Brew and View – Enjoy coffee and conversation while exploring how food donations are collected, sorted, and distributed to those in need.
  • Bites and Insights – Join us for a lunchtime tour and gain a deeper understanding of the programs and partnerships that make HAFB a cornerstone of regional support.
  • After Hours for Hope – Experience an evening of refreshments and meaningful discussion about how community involvement fuels hope and impact.

Each session offers a firsthand look at the Food Bank’s operations and the critical role volunteers, donors, and partners play in fighting hunger throughout Central Alabama.

The Heart of Alabama Food Bank serves 35 counties across Central Alabama, distributing millions of pounds of food annually through a network of partner agencies. By launching the Tours for Hope series, HAFB aims to strengthen community ties and inspire continued collaboration in the fight against hunger.
