The West Elmore Christian Outreach Ministry Extension (WELCOME) Food Pantry has relocated its operations to a building better suited to meet the growing need of the food insecure in west Elmore County at 1881 I-65 Service Road, Millbrook. The 501c3 organization has embarked on a $1.8 million dollar capital campaign for the purchase of the building, renovations and improved operations. The new facility will allow for increased food distribution, choice dignity, waste reduction, emergency resources and community space. On March 12, 2024, WELCOME held an open house and fundraiser at their new location.
