Montgomery Whitewater raft guide training program now open

Montgomery Whitewater, the 120-acre world-class outdoor recreation center set to open at the gateway to downtown Montgomery on July 8, is seeking applicants for multiple raft guide school sessions in May, June and July.

During these five-day training sessions, participants will learn to guide a whitewater raft down class II-IV whitewater under the leadership of professional guide staff. In addition to gaining essential river skills, they will build self-confidence, hone leadership skills and most importantly, acquire the soft skills of group communication and teamwork

What to Expect:

Students who complete the training can expect anywhere from 25-40 hours of rafting work per week, leading three to five raft trips per day for four to six 4-6 days a week. A $150 tuition fee will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
