MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Feb. 6, 2024) – Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Lillie A. Hobson has been recognized by the Montgomery County Bar Association (MCBA) with the annual Tom Methvin Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award.
The award honors one Montgomery attorney based on the total number of pro bono hours or complexity of cases staffed, the impact of the pro bono work and the benefit to low-income Montgomery County residents, successful recruitment of other attorneys for pro bono representation, and proven commitment to equal access and delivery of quality legal services.
Ms. Hobson was recognized for her contributions to the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program (MVLP), which was founded by the MCBA in 2013 to support low-income residents by providing legal assistance free of charge. She is a member of the MVLP’s board of directors and is an active participant in the program’s advice and counsel clinics each month and assists at circuit court help desks, working with judges on civil dockets to provide legal assistance to pro se, low-income individuals. Ms. Hobson was also recognized in 2023 with the MVLP’s Volunteer of the Year Award for her commitment to the MVLP’s mission.
An associate in Bradley’s Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Hobson represents clients in cases pending before both state and federal courts. She regularly works with clients on matters involving business disputes, product liability, intellectual property, medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injuries. Ms. Hobson is a dedicated member of the Montgomery legal community, maintains an active pro bono practice, and serves on the board of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation.
