ASU Civil Rights Symposium

February 16, 2023 – Alabama State University hosted Ambassador Andrew Young at the University’s Civil Rights Symposium. Young worked side by side with Dr. Martin Luther King in the 1960s and went on to serve on the United Nations under Jimmy Carter. His message covered equality and the Civil Rights movement while encouraging activists to be persistent in taking action.
