How has the world of student recruitment shifted and how are you adapting?
As student recruitment increasingly shifts toward social media and word of mouth, PCA has expanded its reach to a broader range of families, including many military families. Through platforms like social media and personal recommendations, we are able to share our mission, values and educational offerings. Our current families are also instrumental in spreading the word about PCA. They not only help to share our story and various programs, but they also offer a personal testament to the strong, supportive community we continue to grow.
How do you manage the competition and make sure your message is heard?
We are committed to living out our mission daily and dedicate ourselves to helping our students reach their fullest potential. Our core values help guide us continually by being reminded to demonstrate love, grace, integrity, accountability, Biblical truth and respect in all that we do. These values keep us focused on our purpose and ensure that we provide an environment where students can thrive spiritually, academically and personally.
What new programs have you launched?
We have been blessed to add many different programs and facilities to serve our students and families. Recently, we’ve added several exciting additions, including a new weight room, a Mission Partners program in which we collaborate with four local non-profit organizations that we serve and enhanced safety initiatives across our campus. We’ve also launched a Middle School Leadership Academy and partnered with CACC to create a Career Tech Academy, offering students valuable career-focused opportunities. Additionally, we’re in the midst of a capital campaign to raise funds for a new middle school building, which will feature a gymnasium with a stage area and other facilities to support our students’ continued growth and success. These additions reflect our commitment to providing a valuable educational experience that prepares students for a bright future.
How does Prattville Christian Academy stand out?
Our daily focus is to prepare the hearts and minds of our students to follow Christ. We offer a wide range of academic, arts and athletic programs designed to meet every student’s unique needs and interests. These include our Engineering Academy, Health Care Academy, Science Olympiad, Servant Leadership Academy and Dual Enrollment Opportunities. In everything we do, God is at the center. Through Bible classes, chapel services and our Christian Leadership Team, we ensure that His Word is the foundation for all we do, guiding our students in their education and their walk with Christ.
