Julianne Hansen Fine Art & Pottery

Julianne Hansen is a talented artist who works in portraits and pottery. She owns a gallery in Prattville, Julianne Hansen Fine Art, where she displays beautiful, functional art, including many of her own creations and shares the joy of making art and her expertise with talented artists.

WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT sharing the blessings, benefits and positive influences different forms of art can provide to oneself, family and the community.

THE TOOLS OF OUR TRADE are most importantly, our hands and heart. In a more literal  sense, clay, kiln, glazes and related tools.

WE ARE PROUD OF the feelings our artwork evokes. The Alabama Poppy Project is probably the most prominent art exhibit we create and with the hundreds of stories we have heard about the men and women of our armed forces and the sacrifices made on our behalf. We are also proud that we never compromise our standards of integrity when accepting commissions or custom work. Finally, we are so blessed that we can help people create fabulous works of art themselves regardless of the skills they believe they do or don’t have.

YOU WOULD NEVER GUESS that I never intended to hold a single class, and I thought the gallery would display a much higher percentage of my paintings hanging on the wall compared to pottery. It’s now 100% opposite of what I had originally envisioned.

WE VALUE people. Everyone is different and has their own challenges and needs. We are so grateful the gallery serves as a haven for those who need a safe space to just create and provide some respite from the stresses of the world.

OUR SECRET SAUCE IS giving people positive encouragement, even when they won’t give it to themselves, then proving them wrong. The looks on their faces are undeniable when they “think” they can’t create something, then they actually create it anyway.

CURRENTLY, I AM WORKING ON a new line of ornaments as well as smaller accent paintings. As always at this time of year, we make hundreds of small pumpkins and prep for our winter season of gnomes and angels.

I HOPE WOMEN WILL bloom where they are planted and understand that we are needed right here and right now to provide positivity to not only those around us, but for ourselves as well. This can be done in so many ways, choose the one that is right for you!
