River Region United Way

The women of River Region United Way work to provide funds for health, education and financial stability in support of its community agency partners on the frontlines that provide a wide range of services to those in need.

  • WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT celebrating 100 years of service to the community!
  • WE’VE LEARNED THE HARD WAY that you can’t remain the same; you have to constantly change with the times or you may lose your purpose.
  • THE TOOLS OF OUR TRADE include servant hearts, agents of change and passion for the least of those among us.
  • WE ARE PROUD OF having the first woman president leading us into the next century.
  • OUR DONORS GIVE TO US BECAUSE they know the River Region United Way is a good steward of their donated dollars, and those dollars go directly back into the community for good.
  • YOU WOULD NEVER GUESS that The Community Chest — now known as the River Region United Way — was formed in 1923 to address pressing community needs, serving these original nine agencies: The Anti-Tuberculosis League, Boy Scouts, Children’s Home, Girl Scouts, Red Cross: Family Service, Salvation Army, Woman’s Home, Y.W.C.A and Male Infirmary.
  • WE VALUE our response and support of the agencies that work on the frontlines, our compassionate community of givers, our transparency and our good stewardship.
  • CURRENTLY, WE ARE WORKING ON reevaluating our purpose in responding to the needs in our community by supporting those agencies that provide education, health and financial stability to those in need.
  • WE HOPE WOMEN WILL break the status quo and rise to their purpose and potential!
