Jeremy Kelly

Founding President, Kelly Realty, LLC.

After receiving his brokerage license, Jeremy opened his own firm in 2016, where he oversees a team of predominantly Black female realtors producing more than $10 million in sales annually. He has planted eight libraries in underserved areas all over the city, which his firm stocks with books that reflect the children in the community.

When did you start your current job?

I have been a realtor for over a decade. Upon receiving my brokerage license, I left a corporate real estate firm to start my own, Kelly Realty, in January 2016.

What is your main role at your company?

I oversee a team of realtors that produces over 10 million in real estate sales annually.

What is your number one career accomplishment or highlight?

My top career achievement has been systematically working myself out of the day-to-day operations of the company I created. In short, making the transition from a self-employed entrepreneur to a business owner that employs mostly Black women—thus empowering a group that is often left out of entrepreneurial opportunities.

How are you involved in your community?

I served on the 2022 Board of Directors for the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce. I also served on the Architectural Review Board for the City of Montgomery for a several years. I periodically give speeches and inspirational talks to groups with my connection to various churches and youth organizations. However, my greater community involvement has come through the little library initiative I created. My company has planted eight libraries in underserved areas all over the city. We consistently stock these libraries with books that reflect the children in the community.

What is your key to success?

The books I’ve read crafted me into the businessman that I am today. I stand on the shoulders of giants like Robert Greene, James Baldwin, Tupac Shakur, Napoleon Hill & others. Their words inspired me to take action & persevere.
