What is your main role at your company?

To build long-term relationships with customers by providing banking strategies to meet customers’ goals.

What is your number one career accomplishment or highlight?

Achieving Executive Premier Council status while at New York Life/NyLife Securities. This recognition is achieved by less than 10% of total agents/advisors in the company and recognizes their annual production, with factors such as; total revenue, number of clients acquired and clients retained. I view this as one of my greatest accomplishments and highlights not because of the individual accolades received, but because it represented the effort put forth, the willingness of clients to take steps to improve their financial situations and the trust earned for these clients to accept the strategies and solutions presented to them.

How are you involved in your community

I take every opportunity possible to be involved in my community. I think that community involvement is extremely important. I am involved with or have recently been a member of the following: The Counselors Advisory Committee of Coosada Elementary School (member), The Millbrook Men’s Club (member), The Basketball Alumni Association of Stanhope Elmore (Founder & prior President), CentrAL INC! Editorial Board (member), Welcome Food Pantry – Millbrook (committee member), Child Protect, Montgomery (volunteer) and numerous other volunteering activities and monetary support.

What is your key to success?

One key to success, professionally and personally, is continuing to build strong deposit relationships. By “deposit relationships” I mean always being willing to deposit positively to anyone that you have the opportunity to engage with. Deposit positivity and kindness into the world and people, and success seems to always follow. This has translated to success throughout all of my careers and endeavors. This has been a foundation in my professional and personal life and will be going forward. This is something that I learned early in life, and it translates directly to my professional life as well.

Even early as a young Department Manager at Russell Corporation years ago, I always made it a point to speak to each and every employee that worked alongside me, and took the time and effort to let them know how much I appreciated them. Years later, some of those very same people have been my biggest supporters in the different roles and careers that I have had, and continue to be the reason for my continued successes. I believe that you treat everyone the same, with the same professionalism and respect, no matter what position or role they play. It always makes me feel good when someone brings up those “old days” and how I made them feel appreciated.
