The Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama (GSSA) had their eighth annual Leading Ladies Awards Brunch honoring six women and exploreMedia as outstanding examples of women leaders in the community. The event was also held as a fundraiser to help serve the future generations of leading ladies.
The Montgomery Zoo hosted the 30th annual Military Appreciation Days. Military service members and their families were able to enjoy a free day at the zoo in honor of their service.
The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce hosted their 60-Minute Coffee with the help of Alabama Artificial Limb & Orthopedic Service (AALOS). Individuals were able to spend an hour of their morning networking while enjoying a cup of coffee before work.
The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce held a Morning Brew at the Prattville campus of Central Alabama Community College (CACC). Brandy Mitchell, Dean of Academics, provided attendees with a warm welcome and information regarding CACC’s programs and services.
The monthly Prattville Chamber Luncheon hosted speaker Amy Capps with Service Dogs Alabama at the Marriott Legends in Prattville. The luncheons allow people to learn about networking opportunities through a variety of businesses.
Coffee Connections held by the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is a great way for people to jump-start their day with coffee and networking. Individuals had the opportunity to bring business cards to share with other members and to register for door prizes!
The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their quarterly chamber orientation for individuals to have the opportunity to learn about membership benefits and initiatives from staff members. The orientation offers ideas and new opportunities.

April 9, 2024 Troy University Montgomery hosted the Alabama Women’s Commission’s Rise and Thrive 2024 Impact Conference with keynote speaker, Liz Huntley, and panelists Elizabeth Filmore, Helena Duncan and Mary Helmer Wirth. Women got to hear about topics like women’s resilience in Alabama and more!
