Montgomery, AL — Mark your calendars for a day of giving back! The WSFA Summer Fund & Food Drive will take place on Friday, June 6th from 5:00 AM to 6:30 PM at Renfroe’s Market on EastChase Parkway. The Heart of Alabama Food Bank will be on-site collecting food and monetary donations to support families in need throughout our region.
This annual community event, hosted in partnership with WSFA, plays a vital role in stocking pantry shelves during the high-demand summer months. Every can, box, and dollar helps the Food Bank provide meals to children, seniors, and families facing food insecurity.

Another Opportunity: Summer Family Action Days at the Heart of Alabama Food Bank
The Heart of Alabama Food Bank, in collaboration with the Alabama Extension Office, is also inviting families to participate in Summer Family Action Days — a unique opportunity for children and parents to give back while learning about hunger and service in their community.
- Who: Families with children in Kindergarten through 5th grade
- When: Monday, June 23 & Friday, July 18 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Where: Building 1 at the Heart of Alabama Food Bank

These hands-on volunteer events are designed to educate young children about the mission of food banks and empower them to take action in the fight against hunger. Space is limited and registration is required.
