The Montgomery Zoo has officially begun construction on a brand-new entrance, unveiling updated renderings that offer an exciting glimpse of the modern, vibrant design in progress.
The reimagined entrance will feature sleek architecture and bold colors to create a fresh, welcoming experience for guests. A new shaded plaza will offer comfort and convenience for visitors as they purchase tickets and prepare to begin their Zoo adventure. The gift shop will remain a part of the entrance complex, and for the first time, a designated mother’s nursing room will be included in the layout — a long-requested addition that supports families visiting the Zoo.
While construction is underway, the Montgomery Zoo will remain open to the public. A temporary entrance has been established at the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, which will also serve as the site for a temporary admissions office and gift shop.
The project is expected to take approximately one year to complete, with the goal of enhancing both the look and functionality of the Zoo’s entrance for years to come.
