Women to Watch: Allison Guice

Allison Guice, Principal at Jackson Thornton Wealth Management, has built a career around what she loves most—helping people navigatelife’s complexities. For Guice, wealth management isn’t just about numbers; it’s about walking alongside her clients, understanding their unique stories and crafting strategies that bring their financial dreams to life. While she initially considered a career in medicine, her knack for numbers and a fascination with finance redirected her path. Inspired by professors and peers, Guice  discovered her true calling. Today, she blends her expertise with a personal touch, ensuring every client feels empowered and supported on their financial journey.

On the Job: My job is to walk side by side with my clients through their financial journey— helping them make wise decisions along the way. If I’m doing my job well, I am using my expertise to implement the best  tools and strategies to accomplish my clients’ goals.

Helping Hand: I am honored to serve on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels (MOW) Montgomery, AL Metro Area. This organization, among other services, delivers a hot meal to more than 455 people daily. I have met some wonderful people during my time with MOW. I love that I have the opportunity to work hands- on by delivering meals twice a month with my coworkers. Within the firm, I’m involved in our campus recruiting program and serve as a sounding board for interns.

Personal Best: On a personal level, I’m really proud of my family. My husband and I just celebrated 21 years of marriage, and we are raising two wonderful girls. Professionally, I am proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and learning new things. After spending a decade in the forensic and valuation field, I had the opportunity to work in estate and gift tax before transitioning into wealth management.

Influential Figures: I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my husband and my parents. They are my cheerleaders and help me keep all the plates spinning. I also owe a huge thanks to Leigh Ann, a former coworker and dear friend, who encouraged me daily when I didn’t think I could balance my career with being a new mom.

Future-Focused: We’ve created a women’s initiative within Jackson Thornton Wealth Management called “Channels”, and I would love to see it grow. Our tagline is “women talking financial wellness and empowering one another”. I am excited for what the future holds for the initiative.

Fulfilled: For my younger clients, I love to see the look on their faces when they walk out of the room with a solid financial plan and a clear understanding of what they need to do to achieve their goals. It is very rewarding to watch a person achieve peace of mind over their financial future. I absolutely love watching my clients realizing and living out the goals they planned for.

Off the Clock: I have daughters in middle and high school, so I spend a lot of time taking them to practice, school events and youth events at church. I enjoy watching them play sports and perform in chorus and drama productions. As a family, we love checking out local events, spending time with friends and at-home movie nights. And I can’t forget to mention my little Yorkie, Chance. He is mischievous but brings a lot of joy to our home.
