When did you start your current job?

I started my career at Jackson Thornton on January 9, 2008.

What is your main role at your company?

I have provided litigation support and business valuation services to our clients for 15 years. In 2022 I also assumed responsibility for our bond refunding verification and arbitrage rebate practice. As Director of Campus Recruiting, I manage our firm’s recruiting initiatives for our direct-from-campus internship and associate positions.

What is your number one career accomplishment or highlight?

My biggest career accomplishment is having made partner while raising two small children. Many working moms, myself included, carry guilt for committing themselves to their careers. However, I am forever grateful to be part of a firm that supports me in my career and my personal life. I have been fortunate to excel at work without missing anything at home with my family.

How are you involved in your community?

I am a graduate of Torchbearers Leadership Class IV and the Leadership Montgomery Legacy Class XXXVII. I served on the inaugural Junior Executive Board for Child Protect Children’s Advocacy Center. I am a past president of Jackson Thornton Young Professionals and a past president of Emerge Montgomery. I currently serve on the board of directors of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery and the River Region United Way Finance Committee. I was named Emerge Montgomery’s 2015 Young Professional of the Year and Auburn University at Montgomery’s College of Business 2017 Outstanding Young Alumni.

What is your key to success?

Establish a professional network early! You will never meet an accomplished business leader that can honestly say their success is solely their own. Whether I need a pep talk before a difficult meeting, assistance on a unique engagement, or I want to know the best summer program for my boys, I have an invaluable network of friends and colleagues that I can always call on for guidance.
